Being Updated
Prairie Lake Elementary's principal Sean Downing announced that student achievement improved across the board during the prior school year — a trend the school is continuing to build on in the current year. The campus was also among the OCPS schools represented at the Stellar Awards ceremony in January 2026, a district-wide event recognizing more than 500 outstanding educators and support staff. Prairie Lake's participation in the Let's Read OCPS challenge is active through April 2026, with staff encouraging families to track reading minutes at home alongside classroom reading.
