Being Updated
Lockhart Elementary opened the current school year with new principal Erin Willis establishing her presence and priorities, including leveling up student achievement, building enriching relationships, and expanding family engagement events. The school participated in OCPS's Black History Month "Still I Rise" celebration and the district-wide Let's Read reading challenge. Willis's early communications to families emphasized a joyful school year and the importance of staying connected through upcoming family engagement events. The Lockhart community, with deep neighborhood roots along Edgewater Drive, continues to be a residential anchor campus in northwest Orlando.
