Recently, Venetia Elementary School located in Jacksonville has been included under an enhanced initiative of safety in transportation in Duval County Public Schools. The initiative focuses on installing enhanced stop-arm cameras on all buses in the district for improved safety of the students. The program will be implemented in phases, as per the statements made by the district officials.
Q1. What is offered in terms of before-and-after school care services?
Ans. The Venetia Elementary provides extended care services in collaboration with the approved providers in the district to enable parents to benefit from proper care of their children both in the morning and evening.
Q2. Are there extracurricular activities provided to the learners?
Ans. Extracurricular activities include learner clubs and other learning support activities such as arts and other seasonal school activities organized by the staff members.
Q3. Are there meals served at the school?
Ans. Venetia Elementary follows the district nutrition plan by serving meals to learners according to the guidelines stipulated by the US government.
Q4. How does enrollment process work?
Ans. Enrollment at the school is done at the district Duval County Public School offices where learners need to bring required documents for verification purposes.
Q5. Is there parental participation in the learning institution?
Ans. Parental participation takes place in different ways including through participation in the Parent Teacher Association among others.
