Recently, Rutledge H. Pearson Elementary School located in Jacksonville has made mention of their newly developed learning environment which now places emphasis on hands-on STEAM learning. The school still prioritizes learning in small groups and improved instructional spaces aimed at fostering learning among the learners. In addition, the school has made it known that students are able to participate in extracurricular activities like those held by the Boys & Girls Club program. These efforts by the school demonstrate a commitment towards providing individualized attention among other aspects to foster positive school environments.
Q1. What means of transportation are available for students?
Ans. Transportation is usually made available to eligible students from the Duval County Public Schools zone as well as assigned walking areas for those who live near the school.
Q2. What kinds of extracurricular activities are offered by the school?
Ans. Extracurricular clubs and enrichment activities will be available depending on the grade levels and school schedule.
Q3. Is there any before and after-school care for children available?
Ans. Before and after-school programs are made available on-site via approved district providers.
Q4. Is special education service provided by the school?
Ans. Special needs children with IEPs can access special education services at the school, such as resource assistance and other accommodations.
Q5. Are school meals available for students?
Ans. School meals are available in the form of breakfast and lunch every day.
