George Rigakos, a special education teacher, has been named the 2025 Stamford Teacher of the Year for his work at Westover to make learning more accessible to all students, get involved in the community, and help students.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation is giving the school a brand-new "mini-pitch" soccer field as part of its Safe Places to Play program. This will be the first one of its kind in Connecticut. The facility will encourage people to be active and use it.
