The school is getting better security: four new security cameras and a system that lets people in without a key are being added.
The Twin Meadows Playground at Stillmeadow was recently updated with a rubber surface and an ADA-accessible "Sway Fun" glider, which makes it safer and more accessible for everyone.
Q1.What programs at Stillmeadow help students learn how to deal with their emotions and social situations?
Ans. The Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence came up with the RULER approach, which the school uses to teach kids how to be empathetic, self-aware, and control their emotions.
Q2. What kinds of help are there for special needs kids?
Ans. Stillmeadow has TEAM and CORE classes for students with special needs. These classes use a "Together Everyone Achieves More" model to help each student learn in their own way.
Q3. Is there a library or makerspace at the school?
Ans. Yes, Stillmeadow's Media Center is a place where people can read, learn about STEAM, do research, and learn in a way that combines technology and traditional teaching.
Q4. What does the school do to get families and the community involved?
Ans. To strengthen the partnerships between schools and families, the school holds events like Multicultural Night, STEAM Night, and family picnics.
Q5. What changes are planned or already happening at Stillmeadow?
Ans.The current projects include installing doors that don't need keys, upgrading the hot water system, and keeping playgrounds up to date and safe for everyone to use.
