Roxbury School recently had a great Family Literacy Night. Parents and students took part in reading workshops, storytelling sessions, and literacy activities that they could do at home. A lot of people came to the event, which showed how committed the school is to improving relationships between families and schools. Teachers also showed off new reading intervention tools that are meant to help kids of all ages understand what they read better.
Q1.Does Roxbury School have programs that help kids learn more after school?
Ans.Yes, the school has after-school programs like sports, art clubs, STEM activities, and sessions to help with homework.
Q2.How does the school help students who are new to the area?
Ans.Roxbury helps new students get used to school and make friends by giving them orientation support, buddy programs, and transitional guidance.
Q3.Do you offer help with language for people who are learning English (ELLs)?
Ans.Yes, the school has classes for ELL students, helps with reading and writing, and can help families who need it communicate in two languages.
Q4.Do the lessons at school use technology?
Ans.Students do their homework, take interactive lessons, and practice their skills on Chromebooks and other digital learning platforms.
Q5.Is the parent-teacher organization (PTO) very strong?
Ans.Yes, the Roxbury PTO is very busy all year long with events, fundraisers, and projects that people can help with.
