Recently, Northeast Elementary held a "Doughnuts with Grown-Ups" event. Students invited family members to come to school for a morning of socializing, snacks, and school spirit, which helped parents get more involved.

The school is also working to make the facilities safer and better. For example, over the summer, Stamford Public Schools started putting in keyless entry systems, improving ventilation, and adding new security cameras to Northeast to make the students feel safer.
