The state gave Norwalk Public Schools $21.5 million to improve the heating and cooling systems in six schools, including Rowayton Elementary. The money will be used to pay for new electrical services, new heating systems, and air conditioning systems in classrooms.
Q1. Are there after-school programs at Rowayton Elementary?
Ans. Yes, students can do things like homework clubs, arts and crafts, and STEM programs after school to make their learning better.
Q2. How does the school help students learn social and emotional skills?
Ans. Rowayton uses SEL lessons, peer mentoring, and counseling services to help students become more emotionally strong and improve their social skills.
Q3. Are there programs for students who are very smart or advanced?
Ans. Yes, the school provides advanced learning opportunities and tailored instruction to keep high-achieving students interested.
Q4. What do parents do at school?
Ans. Parents get involved by going to Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) events, volunteering, going to conferences, and attending family nights.
Q5. Does Rowayton use technology in the classroom?
Ans. Yes, classrooms use computers, tablets, interactive boards, and other digital learning tools to make learning and teaching better.
