It has about 508 students and a student–teacher ratio of about 15:1. The majority of the students at the school are Hispanic (over 64%), but there is a lot of racial and ethnic diversity. State assessment data shows that about 41% of students are good at math and 44% are good at English/language arts. Kendall helps gifted and talented students by working with a small group of advanced students and stressing fairness and community involvement. It is known as one of the best elementary schools in Norwalk and one of the best elementary schools in Norwalk.

The Norwalk Board of Education has officially named Jennifer Sweeters the new principal of Kendall Elementary, which is now called Kendall College & Career Academy.
Q1. What kinds of classes does Kendall Elementary have for students who are ahead of the curve?
Ans. The school offers help for gifted and talented students and different kinds of instruction to keep students who are doing better than their grade level challenged.
Q2: What does Kendall do to help students get ready for college and work?
Ans. Kendall focuses on project-based learning, career exploration, and activities that help students build skills to get them ready for future academic and work paths.
Q3. Do you offer help for English Language Learners (ELLs)?
Ans. Yes, the school has ESOL programs and language support that is specific to each student to help them do well in school.
Q4. How do families take part in school events?
Ans. Families can get involved in PTA events, volunteer opportunities, curriculum nights, and school-community projects. This will help the school and the home work together better.
Q5. Does Kendall Elementary teach technology and STEM subjects?
Ans. Yes, students work on STEM projects, learn how to use computers, and use digital learning tools, which are all ways that technology is used in core subjects.
