The $70 million renovation of Holmes Elementary is going well. As of August 2025, more than half of the work on rebuilding and expanding the school is done.
A new raised beam and a growing two-story wing with a courtyard, STEAM spaces, and soundproof classrooms are some of the construction milestones.
Q1. What special programs are there for learning STEAM?
Ans. Holmes School has STEAM labs, coding activities, and science projects that help kids be creative and think critically.
Q2. Are there services for students who learn in a different way?
Ans. Yes, the school has programs for special education, personalized learning plans, and tools to help students with different learning needs.
Q3. How does Holmes School get parents and other family members involved in their children's education?
Ans. Families get involved by going to PTO events, workshops, volunteering, and family nights. This helps the school and home work together better.
Q4. Are there things to do or programs to join after school?
Ans. Yes, students can join clubs for the arts, sports teams, music groups, and other fun things that happen before and after school.
Q5. What do you do to keep students safe on campus?
Ans. Holmes School makes sure that the learning environment is safe by having secure entrances, checking in visitors, doing safety drills, and training staff.
