Capital Preparatory Magnet School will celebrate Spirit Week for Homecoming from November 17 to 21. Each day will feature special events to build school spirit and bring the community together.
Q1. What does Capital Prep’s social justice focus look like in everyday student life?
Ans. Social justice at Capital Prep is prominently featured through class debates, service projects, and as a school-wide theme. These are ways the school engages students in considering issues of justice, looking at the needs of the community, and figuring out how to have a positive impact.
Q2. In what ways does Capital Prep help students grow as leaders?
Ans. Capital Prep enhances leadership skills with programs like advisory groups, student voice initiatives, and the expectation that students will be leaders of their own choices both in class and out of class.
Q3. How does Capital Prep keep families engaged and informed?
Ans. Through district communications, resources for parents, web portals, and events that tell them about their children's learning and school projects, parents are always in touch with the school.
Q4. What kinds of clubs and activities can students join at Capital Prep?
Ans. Students can join a wide range of clubs and groups, such as Debate, STEM, Arts, Service groups, and Youth Government. This gives them many ways to get involved.
Q5. How does the school support a safe and structured environment in a year-round program?
Ans. To ensure that the school remains orderly and secure even during the year that is extended, the school depends on well-established daily activities, unambiguous expectations, rules for wearing uniforms, and the closeness of the ????????????????supervision.
