Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School: In the Lewis-Palmer School District, Amber Whetstine has been named the new superintendent. The district released a new District page, called "D38 Answers" intended to communicate information to the District Community.

A1. The school has thought of a lot when it comes to safety. The doors have strong locks, all visitors need to sign in, they have learned the emergencies procedures and have practice what to do, and the teachers monitor the kids all day to ensure they have a great place to learn that is safe and secure.
Q2. What curriculum does Ray E Kilmer Elementary follow?
A2. Ray E Kilmer follows the curriculum from the state of Colorado regarding what schools should teach. That means reading, math, science, and social studies. There are opportunities to engage with music and physical education, but it also makes all of those core subjects not so boring.

A3. If parents want to be involved with the school, there are many ways including being in the classroom, attending events, serving on PTA, or even being on committees that offer advice to the school. Family involvement makes the learning experience more meaningful for their children.
