See top schools in Arvada
West Woods Elementary School, located in Arvada, has approximately 520 students in grades K–5 and is part of the Jefferson County Public Schools district. Based on several state profiles and school profiles, the students' academic performance has yet to drop below above-average (based on provisions, 75–82% proficiency on their latest reading and math checks), and has a student–teacher ratio between 16–18:1. The teaching staff includes regular classroom teachers, supporting Special Education and ESL staff, teaching staff for Gifted and Talented, and several other support roles, making it one of the best elementary schools in Colorado. Students also represent a diverse demographic that mirrors suburban diversity in Jeffco, largely white and Hispanic students, among others. Since the onset of COVID-19, their classroom assessment information from the state, standards-based report cards, and district value-added measures continue to inform instruction.
