The district's open enrollment period is now open for Wildwood Elementary, which means that students can transfer from one school to another or register for the 2026–2027 school year. The school recently held meetings with the community to talk about veteran board member Mike Snellings coming back to the YCJUSD Board of Education. Students are also using the new technology programs that the whole district is using, such as interactive digital platforms to help with reading and math.
Q1. Does Wildwood Elementary School have a program for younger students to get ready for kindergarten?
Ans. The school has a TK classroom where young kids can learn basic social and academic skills.
Q2. What are the rules for using personal electronics at Wildwood Elementary School?
Ans. Students must keep their personal tablets and phones off and in their backpacks all day at school.
Q3. How does Wildwood Elementary School keep track of things that students have lost?
Ans. A central bin holds clothes that have been lost and is emptied every trimester end to make room for donations.
Q4. Are there any gardening or science clubs that meet at Wildwood Elementary School?
Ans. Students can learn about biology and the area around them by planting things in the spring and fall.
Q5. How can parents get involved with the committees at Wildwood Elementary School?
Ans. Parents who want to help plan school-wide events can sign up during orientation or go to monthly meetings.
