West Hills is a suburban neighborhood in the western part of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. With about 40,000 people, it is known for being a good place for families. There are both public and private elementary schools in the area, and many of them do very well in school. These schools focus on core subjects, have programs for gifted students, and offer extracurricular activities like sports and the arts. California Distinguished Schools has given this title to several campuses in West Hills. West Hills has a lot of parks and other places for families to have fun, in addition to its schools.
