The environment is meant to be welcoming and easy for all students to use. Observations of the site show that the focus is on harmony among students and shared goals. Walnut Heights Elementary is using its new "High Heights" incentive program for the spring semester to stress how important it is for students to come to school every day. The campus recently added new percussion instruments to its music program to give students more chances to be creative. The school is also looking for parent volunteers for the Spring Carnival, which is the biggest community-building event of the year.
