Colleen Steed, the principal, led a recent community meeting at Loma Vista Elementary to talk about how well the kids are doing in school and how they are doing emotionally and socially. The school is currently accepting feedback on its School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to make sure it is in line with the district's goals. Parents are asked to come to the next PTA meetings to help plan projects and fundraisers for the spring that will make the campus look better.

Q2. How old do you have to be to go to Transitional Kindergarten at Loma Vista?

Ans. To be able to join the TK program, kids must be four years old by September 1 of the current school year.

Ans. The school works with the YMCA to offer on-site daycare, which is located right on the school grounds for easy access.

Ans. During an evacuation, parents should go to the right gate for their child's grade level so they can safely meet up with them.
