Being Updated
The main goal of Lincoln Elementary is to help students grow as people, and its Art and Music programs are a big part of that. The school just finished its Winter Concert series, which was a chance for students in the instrumental music program to show off what they could do. The school board is now focusing on the 2026–27 school year for new kindergarten students.
Q1. Does Lincoln Elementary offer a specific program for gifted and talented students?
Ans. The school provides Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) cluster groupings within regular classrooms to offer differentiated and accelerated learning opportunities.
Q2. What is the procedure for a School of Choice tour at Lincoln Elementary?
Ans. Parents can schedule a site visit by calling the main office during the district's annual School of Choice window in December.
Q3. How does Lincoln Elementary handle the "Banking Day" schedule for staff development?
Ans. Every Wednesday is a Banking Day, meaning students are dismissed early at 12:50 PM so teachers can participate in collaborative planning.
Q4. Are there any specialized music opportunities for students at Lincoln Elementary?
Ans. Students in the fourth and fifth grades have the opportunity to join the band or strings program and perform in district concerts.
Q5. What is the "Lincoln Lion" award presented during school assemblies?
Ans. The Lincoln Lion award recognizes students who consistently demonstrate the core values of being respectful, responsible, and safe on campus.
