Being Updated
Lemon Grove School has added more hands-on coding and robotics to the STEAM curriculum for upper elementary and middle school students. The campus is getting ready for the advisory meetings in March 2026, when the whole district will talk about long-term planning. Dr. Susan Martinez, the principal, recently changed the school's FAQ page to make it clear what changes are coming to the "Banking Day" schedules.
Q1. What are the middle school electives like at Lemon Grove School?
Ans. Students in grades 6-8 can choose elective classes like robotics, art, or leadership that meet at the end of the day.
Q2. Is there a different playground for the younger kids at Lemon Grove?
Ans. To make sure that kindergarten and primary school students have safe, separate play areas, the campus is divided into different age-appropriate zones.
Q3. What time does Lemon Grove School let out on "Banking Day"?
Ans. The school lets out early on banking days, which are usually Wednesdays, at around 12:40 PM so that staff can get more training.
Q4. Is there a system at Lemon Grove School for everyone to follow when it comes to behavior?
Ans. The school uses the PBIS framework, which is based on three main values: being safe, being responsible, and being respectful in all areas.
Q5. Are students from Lemon Grove allowed to join the district's dual enrollment program?
Ans. If you work with the district's secondary education office, high-achieving 8th graders may be able to get accelerated high school credits.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
