Being Updated
Citrus Glen Elementary is putting its "Leader in Me" philosophy into action by giving students the tools they need to lead their own learning through daily leadership activities. The school recently changed its bell schedule for 2025–26 to include "Banking Time" for teachers to work together. This is meant to help them teach better in the classroom. Parents are also being asked to attend the VUSD school closure advisory meetings, which will begin in March 2026.
Q1. How can parents become members of the Citrus Glen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization?
Ans. Parents who want to join the PTO can do so online or by going to the monthly meetings in the school cafeteria.
Q2. What is Citrus Glen Elementary's policy for lost and found items?
Ans. Items that aren't claimed are kept in a special bin near the office and given to local charities at the end of each trimester.
Q3. Does Citrus Glen Elementary have a transitional kindergarten program on its grounds?
Ans. The district office decides who is eligible and where to place them in TK based on their birth dates and the number of students in the area.
Q4. Can students ride bikes and scooters to Citrus Glen Elementary?
Ans. Students can ride their bikes to school as long as they use the bike racks and wear a helmet, which is required by state law.
Q5. How does Citrus Glen Elementary let families know about emergencies?
Ans. The school uses ParentSquare to send urgent emails and texts about safety or weather updates.
