The Vallejo Adult Transition Program in Vallejo, California, recently talked about how its life skills and job training programs are growing. Leaders of the program said that teaching young adults how to live on their own, and get hands-on job training are all helping them gain confidence and get ready for meaningful work and more independence in the community.
Q1. Who can sign up for Vallejo Adult Transition?
Ans. The program is for young adults ages 18 to 22 who have special needs and need help making the transition.
Q2. Does Vallejo Adult Transition offer training for jobs?
Ans. Yes, students often take part in programs that give them job training and work experience.
Q3. Do the classes include life skills?
Ans. Yes, the program teaches people how to live on their own by teaching them how to budget, talk to other people, and do everyday tasks.
Q4. Does Vallejo Adult Transition work with groups in the community?
Ans. Yes, the program can work with local businesses and community groups to set up training and internships.
Q5. After finishing the transition program, can students keep going to school?
Ans. Some students may go on to community college, job training, or work after they finish.
