Being Updated
In 2024, Charles Helmers Elementary School was named a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) School. Schools that get this award have to show that their students are learning more and more over a few years and that their teachers work well together. Teachers at Helmers work together, share ideas, and focus on what will help students learn better in the classroom on a regular basis. The school has been able to create a stable academic environment because of this kind of consistent work. The award shows that the school is still focused on both student progress and good teaching methods.
