Recently, Onaga Elementary staff and students reached a big milestone in their daily learning journey. They shared special pictures on the district's official social media pages. The school is now using the 2025 California Healthy Kids Survey for fifth graders to get information about the health and happiness of students and the overall climate at the school. The campus is getting ready for its annual end-of-year academic celebrations and promotion ceremonies for the Class of 2026.
Q1. Is there a program for student leaders at Onaga Elementary?
Ans. Fifth and sixth graders can apply to be "Onaga Ambassadors" to help with events on campus and morning announcements.
Q2. What are the rules for scooters and bikes at Onaga Elementary?
Ans. Students must walk their bikes once on campus and lock them up in the bike rack area that is set aside for them.
Q3. Does Onaga Elementary School teach art in any way?
Ans. Teachers include creative projects in the daily curriculum, and they often focus on art and cultural history from the desert.
Q4. Who watches the kids on the playground at Onaga Elementary?
Ans. Trained campus proctors and staff members keep an eye on all active play areas during breaks to make sure students are safe.
Q5. Is there a nurse at Onaga Elementary School?
Ans. Every day, a health office assistant is on site to handle minor injuries and work with the district nurse.
