Monticello Elementary is a public school for kids in grades K–4 in Tracy, California. It is part of the Tracy Unified School District. The school has about 658 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 26:1, which is a little higher than the average for elementary schools in the area. Monticello Elementary focuses on teaching the basics in English Language Arts, math, science, and social studies. The school also has enrichment programs and targeted interventions to help students do well and have a well-rounded educational experience. According to data from U.S. News, about 64% of students are proficient or better in math and about 52% are proficient or better in reading. This shows that students do well in all of their core subjects. The student body is diverse, and a large number of them are from minority groups, which is similar to the demographics of the Tracy community. Students come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, and the school gets money from the state and federal government to help pay for student services and instructional programs. The amount of money spent on each student is in line with the average for California public schools. Monticello Elementary is in a family-friendly neighborhood where the median home prices are lower than in other Bay Area cities. This makes it a stable place to learn. Overall, the school has good academic results and is a good place for students to grow.
