The Conejo Academy of Leadership and Language Immersion is still the Conejo Valley's first Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program for Spanish and English. The official enrollment period for the 2026–2027 school year began on November 3, 2025, the same day that the school choice application period opened. The academy is still focused on a research-based method that gets students ready to be bilingual, biliterate, and multicultural.
Q1. Is prior Spanish fluency required for students to enroll at Conejo Academy?
Ans. No, the program is designed for both English and Spanish speakers to learn alongside one another starting in kindergarten.
Q2. Does Conejo Academy provide dual-language support for students with special educational needs?
Ans. The school provides specialized support services that are tailored to meet the requirements of students within the immersion setting.
Q3. How are cultural celebrations integrated into the curriculum at Conejo Academy?
Ans. The school hosts various multicultural events throughout the year to celebrate the diverse traditions of the global Spanish-speaking world.
Q4. What leadership programs are available for younger students at Conejo Academy?
Ans. Students participate in the "Leader in Me" framework, which teaches essential personal and interpersonal leadership skills to all grades.
Q5. Can students from outside the neighborhood zone attend Conejo Academy?
Ans. Families may apply through the district's school choice program to attend the academy regardless of their specific home address.
