Being Updated
Stanford Primary Center is using the most up-to-date research-based curriculum to teach its TK–2 students the basics of reading and writing. The center just finished its winter performance window, and during scheduled conferences, parents are getting information about how their children are doing. School leaders are reminding families that the main center is still a separate, dedicated campus for early childhood development.
Q1. Is the curriculum at the Stanford Primary Center different from that at the main elementary school?
Ans. The curriculum is made just for young kids and focuses a lot on basic phonics, basic math, and social-emotional skills.
Q2. Does the Stanford Primary Center have a separate playground for little kids?
Ans. Yes, the center has a special playground area that is safe for TK through second-grade students.
Q3. How does the Stanford Primary Center help kids move up to third grade?
Ans. Staff members work with the main Stanford Avenue campus to make sure that students are ready to move up to upper elementary school.
Q4. Does Stanford Primary Center have special events for parents?
Ans. The school holds "Family Literacy Nights" and "Math Workshops" to help parents help their kids get off to a good start in school.
Q5. Is there a half-day or full-day TK program at Stanford Primary Center?
Ans. The center offers a full-day Transitional Kindergarten program to help kids get off to a good start in public school.
