The programs at Sassarini Elementary are getting lots of buzz because the teachers allow the kids to express their creativity through hands-on activities. According to the district newsletter issued on Jan 6, 2026, Sassarini Students presented their Maker Lab projects during the Board Meeting held on January 8 and have become well-known throughout the community due to this event. Their Maker Program continues to be recognized and is an important part of the Sassarini experience. In 2024, the Maker Program was awarded the Sonoma State University Award for Educational Innovation.
