Wood Ranch Elementary has added new, flexible furniture and advanced technology to its classrooms as part of its most recent round of updates. The school is now one of the best elementary schools in the area because of how well it did on the most recent state-mandated test. This month, there are a few new after-school clubs that focus on coding and environmental science.
Q1. Besides a PTA, does Wood Ranch Elementary have a foundation?
Ans. Yes, the Wood Ranch Schools Fund gives extra money to help with technology and special instruction programs.
Q2. What does Wood Ranch Elementary do with its outdoor "Amphitheater"?
Ans. The amphitheater is used for outdoor meetings, student performances, and as a different place for some classes to learn.
Q3, Does Wood Ranch Elementary have an after-school program called "GATE" for kids who are gifted and talented?
Ans. Gifted and Talented students can take part in special after-school workshops that focus on advanced logic and creativity.
Q4. How do you go to a classroom at Wood Ranch Elementary?
Ans. For security reasons, visitors must make an appointment ahead of time and check in through the Raptor visitor management system.
Q5. Does Wood Ranch Elementary School have a "Career Day" for older kids?
Ans. Every year, the school asks professionals in the community to talk to fifth and sixth graders about their jobs.
