Being Updated
By the end of the summer term in 2025, the last phase of Sycamore Elementary's modernization will be done. In 2026, the school is working hard to teach kids how to use technology in the classroom. They are using the newest technology that was put in place earlier this year. Parents should keep in mind that March 20, 2026, is the last day to sign up for priority sibling enrollment for the next school year.
Q1. Is there a STEM or STEAM lab on the Sycamore Elementary School campus?
Ans. The school has a special lab with STEM tools that students can use for science experiments and group projects that use technology.
Q2. What is the name of Sycamore Elementary's mascot, and does it show up at events?
Ans. The Shark is the Sycamore mascot, and a person dressed as the Shark often shows up at family nights and spirit assemblies.
Q3. Is there a band or strings program for younger kids at Sycamore Elementary?
Ans. In the fifth grade, students officially start learning how to play instruments. Before that, younger students learn about music through other activities in the classroom.
Q4. How can families get to Sycamore Elementary's online lunch account system?
Ans. The district uses the LINQ Connect portal, which lets parents manage meal accounts and see menus.
Q5. Does Sycamore Elementary have a "Jog-A-Thon" every year to raise money?
Ans. To raise money for field trips, classroom supplies, and school-wide assemblies, the PTA puts on a fun run every year.
