Mountain View Elementary has been able to successfully add new STEM labs to its daily curriculum since it was recently renovated. The school is currently giving tours of the campus to new families to show them how the flexible learning spaces are helping students work together more effectively. People who live in the area can now register early at the SVUSD enrollment portal.
Q1. Does Mountain View Elementary have a school counselor who works only with students?
Ans. There is a part-time elementary school counselor on campus who can help with social and emotional issues and run small group counseling sessions.
Q2. Is it possible for parents to buy school spirit wear at Mountain View Elementary?
Ans. During registration and big community events in the evening, the PTA sells shirts and sweatshirts with the school mascot on them.
Q3. Does Mountain View Elementary School put on a talent show for the kids every year?
Ans. The school puts on a talent show in the spring where students can show off their music, dance, or other skills to their classmates.
Q4. What is Mountain View Elementary's policy for dropping off kids on rainy days?
Ans. When it rains, students are told to go to the multi-purpose room or the designated indoor hallways for safety.
Q5. Does Mountain View Elementary use an app to keep parents up to date on what is going on in the classroom?
Ans. A lot of teachers use ParentSquare or Seesaw to send families pictures, reminders, and student work.
