Madera Elementary is focusing on its new academic intervention strategies for the 2025–2026 school year. These strategies are meant to help students improve their math and reading skills. The school is now accepting applications for its sibling priority enrollment window for new kindergarteners. Principal Melanie McGraw is also in charge of a number of "Coffee with the Principal" events where people can talk about how the campus will be safer.
Q1. Are there any coding or computer science clubs for students at Madera Elementary?
Ans. Students can join a number of after-school enrichment programs, some of which may include beginner coding and digital design workshops.
Q2. How do students at Madera Elementary celebrate their birthdays?
Ans. To keep the school healthy, the school encourages celebrations that don't involve food, like giving a "Birthday Book" to the library.
Q3. Is there a specific place at Madera Elementary for lost items?
Ans. Families can get their lost jackets and lunchboxes back at a central lost and found rack near the playground.
Q4. Every year, does Madera Elementary take part in the "Reflections" art program?
Ans. Yes, students enter original works of art in different categories for the National PTA Reflections program competition.
Q5. Are there bike racks for students who ride their bikes to Madera Elementary?
Ans. There are safe bike racks near the main entrance of the school where students can lock up their bikes during school hours.
