For the second year in a row, Arroyo Elementary will be the district's official Dual Language Academy starting in the 2025–2026 school year. The school now offers immersion classes for students in TK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade. Every year, a new grade will be added. Families who want their kids to go to school in 2026–2027 can now fill out interest forms and set up tests to see how well they speak English.
Q1. Does Arroyo Elementary provide on-site before and after school childcare for working parents?
Ans. Yes, the school offers the ASPIRE program which provides supervised care and enrichment activities before and after school hours.
Q2. Can students at Arroyo Elementary participate in an instrumental music program during the week?
Ans. Fifth and sixth grade students can enroll in the district’s music program, which offers weekly instrument lessons on campus.
Q3. How does Arroyo Elementary handle campus safety during the daily morning student drop-off?
Ans. The school utilizes a designated "Valet" system where staff and volunteers assist students safely from cars to gates.
Q4. Does Arroyo Elementary host an annual science fair for students to display their research?
Ans. Students are encouraged to participate in the annual District STEAM Showcase to present their scientific projects and findings.
Q5. Are there any specific volunteer requirements for parents at Arroyo Elementary?
Ans. Parents must complete a district background check and provide TB clearance to volunteer in classrooms or during school field trips.
