Kids who want to start TK or Kindergarten at Gravenstein First School in the 2025–2026 school year can now apply. A lot of people are on campus right now. The administration recently welcomed families back to school for the new term, which was all about basic literacy and social-emotional growth. The staff is also getting ready for the district-wide Spring Break in March 2026 by working with the upper elementary campus.
Q1. Does Gravenstein First School have a transitional kindergarten program for kids who are younger?
Ans. The campus has a special TK classroom where young students can work on basic social and academic skills.
Q2. What do the teachers at Gravenstein First School do to keep an eye on the youngest students on the playground?
Ans. During all scheduled break times, trained staff members keep an eye on age-appropriate play structures to make sure the area is safe.
Q3. What are the colors and mascot of Gravenstein First School?
Ans. The Grizzly is the school's mascot, and students are encouraged to wear school colors to show school spirit.
Q4. Does Gravenstein First School need a different enrollment application than the main elementary school?
Ans. Parents fill out a single registration form for the whole district, which automatically moves students to the upper elementary campus later.
Q5. Are there specific ways for parents to help out in the classrooms at Gravenstein First School?
Ans. After passing a background check, families can help with small group reading sessions and seasonal classroom parties.
