Recently, students and staff at Highlands Elementary worked together on a colorful community art project that now decorates the school's main courtyard. The school's spring fundraising goal was to get new interactive technology for every classroom on campus, and they did it! Also, the Highlands PTO is putting together a highly anticipated Spring Carnival later this month to celebrate how well the students are doing and how involved the families are.
Q1. What are the rules for celebrating birthdays at Highlands Elementary?
Ans. Parents need to talk to teachers ahead of time and are encouraged to bring things other than food to the classroom to celebrate.
2. Does Highlands Elementary have a nurse on staff?
Ans. Every day, a health professional is there to give students their medications and give basic first aid for minor injuries on the playground.
Q3. What happens during emergency drills at Highlands Elementary?
Ans. The school does regular fire and safety drills to make sure that all students and staff are ready for any emergencies.
Q4. Does Highlands Elementary have a kindergarten class for kids who are moving up?
Ans. The campus offers a special program to help young students learn basic skills before they start regular kindergarten.
Q5. Does Highlands Elementary have any music programs?
Ans. Students take vocal or instrumental music lessons once a week to improve their artistic skills and learn to love the arts.
