Being Updated
Village Elementary Charter celebrated for its 2025 academic growth, particularly in early-grade phonics and reading comprehension scores.
Q1. What is the charter's academic theme for 2025?
Ans. "Learning Without Borders" teaches kids about geography and culture from around the world in every subject, from math to gym class.
Q2. How are we measuring the social and emotional growth of students in 2025?
Ans. The school uses a qualitative "Growth Mindset" rubric to see how well students deal with problems and academic failures.
Q3. What new creative arts programs will be offered in 2025?
Ans. A new "Maker Studio" gives students access to sewing machines, woodworking tools, and electronic parts that they can use to make things.
Q4: How does the 2025 curriculum teach students to care for the environment?
Ans. Each grade level is in charge of a different part of the "Learning Garden" on campus, where they learn about life cycles and farming that doesn't harm the environment.
Q5. What will school-wide assemblies be about in 2025?
Ans. Assemblies have changed to a "Student Showcase" format, where students show off their best work to the whole school.
