Steele Lane Elementary praised in 2025 for its diverse faculty leadership, which has driven significant gains in student sense-of-belonging and attendance.
Q1. What is the focus for campus safety in 2025?
Ans. The school just finished a "Safe Routes to School" project to make it easier for students to cross the street and ride their bikes.
Q2. What is being done on campus to help students become leaders in 2025?
Ans. The "Steele Lane Ambassadors" program teaches students how to give campus tours and help younger students during breaks.
Q3. What one-of-a-kind community service project is going on in 2025?
Ans. Students are working with a nearby food bank to put together a "Healthy Harvest" drive that will collect shelf-stable foods that are good for you.
Q4. How does the 2025 curriculum teach kids how to use digital media?
Ans. Every week, students make a "Star News" video broadcast to let everyone on campus know about events and academic achievements.
Q5. Are there any changes to the school's physical education program in 2025?
Ans. The school added a new elective called "Yoga and Calm" to help students deal with stress and become more flexible.
