Abraham Lincoln Elementary named a 2025 California Distinguished School for narrowing achievement gaps and sustaining high math and literacy growth.
Q1. What is the school's main goal for 2025 in terms of multicultural education and fairness?
Ans. The new curriculum emphasizes different historical points of view, so that every student sees their culture represented in lessons every day.
Q2. How are students' voices being heard in campus decisions this year?
Ans. A new "Lynx Council" made up of students meets once a month with school officials to talk about ways to make the campus better and student life better.
Q3. Will the campus technology infrastructure be improved for students by 2025?
Ans: The school has switched to a 1:1 iPad program for all grades, which improves digital and interactive literacy.
Q4. What one-of-a-kind outdoor learning program started in 2025?
Ans. A new "Peace Garden" gives students a place to learn about their emotions and think quietly during the school day.
Q5. How will parents be able to keep track of their child's schoolwork online in 2025?
Ans. All families can now see real-time updates on assignments, grades, and attendance through a new Aeries parent portal.
