Ark Independent Studies in Santa Cruz recently showed how well its students were doing with its flexible learning program. Several students finished independent projects and graduated early. School leaders praised the accomplishment and said that the personalized study method helps students keep up with their schoolwork while also working toward their personal goals.
Q1. Are the classes at Ark Independent Studies only online, or are they a mix of online and in-person classes?
Ans. Yes, you can finish a lot of classes online with a teacher and by meeting in person every now and then.
Q2. Do parents or guardians help Ark Independent Studies students learn?
Ans. Yes, parents or guardians often help by checking on homework and schoolwork.
Q3. Does the school help students choose a career?
Ans. Yes, students can get help with planning their careers, getting ready for jobs, and what to do after they finish school.
Q4. Do students get to go on field trips or do fun things?
Ans. The school sometimes plans field trips, workshops, and other activities that go along with what students are learning in class.
Q5. Can students transfer from a regular high school to Ark Independent Studies?
Ans. If students want to learn in a more flexible or independent way, they can apply to transfer from regular schools.
