Sutter Elementary School is 3200 Forbes Avenue, in the Sutter neighborhood. It helps kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Total enrollment is 293 students with a student–teacher ratio of 22:1. Math proficiency is 72% and reading proficiency is 77%. The gender mix is 51% female and 49% male. The school is known for its focus on academic excellence and new ways of teaching in the classroom. The campus is in a quiet neighborhood where people live, which makes it easier to focus on learning. Recently, Sutter Elementary School held a party for students who were chosen to be in the California All-State Music Ensemble in January 2026. As part of a district-wide effort to help students' mental health, the school is also adding new calming areas. Teachers at Sutter want to keep students interested and excited about learning every day by using hands-on activities.
