Scott Lane Elementary is taking part in the 2026 Safe Routes to Schools survey to make sure that the streets in the area are safe and easy to get to. The school has changed its SPSA plan to include new goals for getting students to read and get involved in the community. In addition, students were recently recognized for their involvement in district-wide ensembles.
Q1. Does Scott Lane Elementary School have any special workshops for students in the visual or performing arts during the regular school day?
Ans. The school offers weekly art and music lessons that let students try out different types of art and music and improve their creative and artistic skills.
Q2. What is Scott Lane Elementary School's official policy on giving students medicine during school hours?
Ans. The health office must keep all medications and give them out only to trained staff who have a valid doctor's order and permission from the child's parent.
Q3. What does Scott Lane Elementary School do this year to get students involved in community service and projects to improve the neighborhood?
Ans. To help students feel more socially responsible, they take part in community service projects like food drives and neighborhood clean-up events.
Q4. Does Scott Lane Elementary School teach its students any specific lessons about digital citizenship and technology safety each year?
Ans. Yes, every year students learn how to use the internet safely, keep their personal information safe, and be good digital citizens.
Q5. How does Scott Lane Elementary School celebrate and honor the many cultural holidays that its students celebrate throughout the year?
Ans. The school holds multicultural assemblies and activities in the classroom to teach students about the meaning and traditions of different holidays and festivals around the world.
