Recently, local author Steven Banbury came to Jackson Elementary to talk about his life and motivate the "Jaguars." On March 7, 2026, the school community ran in the Blossom Trail Run to promote health and fitness. Parents are welcome to come to the Jackson Open House to see what students have been working on and celebrate the school's successes.
Q1. Does Jackson Elementary School have a transitional kindergarten program for kids who are younger?
Ans. The school has a special TK classroom where young kids can learn basic social and academic skills.
Q2. What are the rules for using personal electronics at Jackson Elementary School?
Ans. During the whole school day, students must keep their personal tablets and phones turned off and in their backpacks.
Q3. How does Jackson Elementary School reward students for doing well and being good?
Ans. Every month, the school holds assemblies where students get certificates for being responsible and nice to each other.
Q4. Does Jackson Elementary School have specific rules about playground safety that kids have to follow during recess?
Ans. Students must follow the "hands-off" policy and use equipment as it was meant to be used while yard staff are watching.
Q5. Do students who get to Jackson Elementary School early get a hot breakfast?
Ans. The cafeteria opens thirty minutes before the first bell to serve all students who are enrolled healthy breakfasts.
