Sunset Elementary also remains focused on the achievement of literacy skills, with the 2026 Spelling Bee awards being of great significance in the near future. In addition, the students are given the chance to participate in the Project NexTech workshop using the TinkerCAD program, which will commence on April 6, 2026, at the San Ysidro Library. This helps in the development of skills in 3D modeling, going beyond the classroom environment.
