This month, the school is holding its annual "Visitation Day," which welcomes new families into its award-winning "Neighborhood School" setting with student-led tours and classroom showcases.
Q1. What does Vallecito Elementary do to make new students feel welcome?
Ans. The school helps new students get used to their new environment by giving them helpful teachers, orientation support, and activities that make them feel at home.
Q2. What kinds of learning activities make students think critically?
Answer. Teachers help students learn how to think critically and analytically by having them do interactive lessons, discussions, and problem-solving tasks.
Q3. What do teachers do to get students to join in on class discussions?
Ans. Teachers make sure that all students can learn by making classrooms where they can ask questions, share ideas, and have important conversations.
Q4. How important are school assemblies to students?
Ans. Assemblies are a great way for students to get together to celebrate their successes, share important news, and feel like they are part of a strong school community.
Q5: How does the school help students grow as people and feel good about themselves?
Answer: Vallecito Elementary encourages, recognizes, and gives students chances to show off what they can do and what they've done.
