The school has about 350 to 450 students and serves kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. North Shoreview Montessori has class sizes that are similar to those of many California public schools, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 22:1. North Shoreview Montessori uses the Montessori method of teaching, which focuses on hands-on learning, letting students work on their own, and having students of different ages in the same class. The school encourages students to learn on their own and work together to solve problems, in addition to teaching them the basics like English Language Arts, math, science, and social studies.
