Paloma Elementary is preparing for the 2026-2027 enrollment period for students who turn four by September 1, 2026, to enter the TK program Paloma Elementary. Principal Todd Marquet recently led behind-the-scenes tours to discuss upcoming facility needs and the potential for future upgrades via local funding SMUSD Facebook. The school remains focused on maintaining a warm learning environment while safety measures are enhanced near adjacent open spaces.
Q1. Are there any special outdoor learning areas at Paloma Elementary?
Ans. The campus is close to open spaces, and it uses outdoor areas for lessons in environmental science and nature-based observations.
Q2. What are the rules at "Paloma Elementary" for visitors and volunteers?
Ans. To keep all students safe on campus, all visitors must check in with a valid ID through a digital management system.
Q3. Does Paloma Elementary have any special community festivals that happen every year?
Ans. Families share their different backgrounds through food, music, and traditional cultural displays at the school's Heritage Night.
Q4. How does Paloma Elementary School reward good behavior and character in students?
Ans. Students get "Paloma Pride" tickets for being responsible and respectful. They can use these tickets to get different rewards in the classroom.
Q5. Does Paloma Elementary have places for kids to stay after school?
Ans. The Kids On Campus program run by the district gives students supervised care and fun activities after school.
