San Leandro is a city in Alameda County, California, with more than 90,000 people living there. It is very diverse. The eastern shore of the San Francisco Bay is where San Leandro is. It has a mix of suburban neighborhoods, parks by the water, and easy access to Oakland and San Francisco. Most elementary schools are run by the San Leandro Unified School District. It runs several public elementary schools, as well as charter and private schools. To serve a diverse community, schools focus on strong academics, STEM programs, arts education, and services to help students. Some schools have received good ratings from the state for how much their students learn and how well they do.
