There is a big change happening at the Los Arboles Literacy and Technology Academy in San Jose, California. The Franklin-McKinley School District has decided to close the school because it is losing students and is $22.9 million short on its budget. But the school is doing everything it can to make sure that the change goes well for its students, most of whom will be going to Lairon College Preparatory Academy.

The school is still committed to giving students a good education, even though it is closed. People say that Los Arboles is a friendly place that helps students grow. For instance, they have programs like SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Learning Program) to help students with disabilities and those who are learning English as a second language.
