Anderson (Alex) Elementary in San Jose, California, is getting ready for a great winter break! The school will be closed from December 22 to January 4, and the staff wishes everyone a happy holiday season. It's a great chance for parents, students, and teachers to relax and spend time together.
The school has been working hard to connect with the community by hosting events like Family Friday Art Night and the EL/ML Parent Townhall Meeting. These programs show that Anderson Elementary is dedicated to helping students grow and develop and building strong relationships. Anderson Elementary is a great place for kids to learn and grow because it focuses on both academics and community service.
Q1. What programs at Alex Anderson Elementary School help kids learn?
Ans. The school has STEM programs, arts integration, project-based learning, and interactive technology to help students be more creative, think critically, and work together.
Q2. How does the school help students stay healthy?
Ans. Through social-emotional programs, mindfulness activities, peer mentoring, and wellness workshops, students can learn how to deal with stress, be more resilient, and be more understanding.
Q3. How do you get parents to help?
Ans. Parents can help their child's education and the school community by volunteering, going to school events, workshops, and conferences.
Q4. What kinds of things can students do outside of school?
Ans. Music, sports, clubs, and creative arts programs help students find things they like, get better at what they do, and learn how to work with others and be a leader.
Q5. What do you do with technology in the classroom?
Ans. Students use digital platforms, interactive tools, and research-based apps to learn, work together, and get better at practical skills in a setting full of technology.
