Families and staff at Yick Wo Elementary are really fighting back. The school was put on SFUSD's list to be closed or combined with another school because of money problems. Parents have gotten together, signed petitions, and are doing everything they can to save their school.

Ans. The school offers a full elementary education for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Q2. How many students are there for each teacher at Yick Wo Elementary?
Ans. The school has a 15:1 student-teacher ratio, which means that students get individualized help and instruction in small groups.
Q3. How well do students read and do math?
Ans. The students do well in school, with 57% of them being good at math and 72% being good at reading.
Q4. What kinds of students go to Yick Wo Elementary?
Ans. The student body is very diverse, with most students coming from Asian and other minority backgrounds, which is what the Chinatown community is like.
Q5. What programs and chances to learn more are there?
Ans. The school has programs in the arts, music, and culture, as well as social-emotional learning and help for English learners, to help students grow in all areas.
